In this role, you will design and develop engineering tools, automate simulation workflows, and support propulsion and vehicle-level analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions for automotive R&D, with a focus on fuel economy and system optimisation

Develop and maintain engineering tools using MATLAB, Simulink, and scripting (M-code)

Design and implement automated workflows for simulation, validation, and reporting

Perform vehicle and propulsion system-level analysis, including fuel economy prediction and optimisation

Analyse simulation and test data to identify trends and improvement opportunities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions

Validate tools for accuracy, robustness, and usability

Document tool design, assumptions, and usage guidelines

Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methods and processes
Technical Skills
Must-Have:

Strong proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and M-scripting

Experience in tool development, automation, or simulation workflows

Good working knowledge of C/C++ programming

Experience in data analysis and engineering problem-solving
Good-to-Have:

Python scripting for data analysis or automation

Experience with fuel economy modelling or optimisation

Knowledge of vehicle systems (powertrain, thermal, controls, etc.)

Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices
