Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role as an Estimation Engineer in Coimbatore.
You will be responsible for supporting quotation activities, preparing technical documentation, and providing engineering support to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant customer quotations and project execution.
You will:
- Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Prepare customer quotations including pricing, assumptions, and commercial terms
- Perform cost estimation covering material, labor, overheads, and margins
Coordinate with:
- Sourcing Team for material pricing and vendor inputs
- Validate BOM accuracy and ensure alignment with customer requirements
- Maintain quotation records, costing sheets, and revision tracking
- Support Sales/BD team in quotation submission and follow-ups
- Ensure compliance with internal costing standards and approval processes
You have:
- Strong attention to detail with good technical and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD LT (2D) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience or familiarity with ERP systems (Visual ERP preferred).
- Basic understanding of electrical components, cable assemblies, connectors, or related products (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment (preferred).
- Extra points if you also:
- Have prior experience supporting quotation or costing activities.
- Are familiar with wiring harness or electrical assembly products.
- Have worked in a customer-facing technical or application support role.
