Job Title: Fabricator
Job Summary:
A Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing metal or other materials to create products or structures according to technical drawings or specifications. They work with tools, machinery, and welding equipment to produce high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and measurements
- Cut, bend, and shape materials (metal, plastic, etc.) using tools and machines
- Assemble parts using welding, bolting, or riveting techniques
- Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, drills, cutting torches, and CNC machines
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Repair or modify existing structures and components
- Maintain tools, machinery, and a clean workspace
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of fabrication techniques and tools
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately
- Welding skills (MIG, TIG, or ARC welding preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical stamina and ability to handle heavy materials
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Problem-solving skills
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ITI/Diploma in fabrication, welding, or mechanical field (preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in fabrication work (varies by role)
Work Environment:
- Workshops, factories, or construction sites
- Exposure to noise, heat, and heavy machinery
- Requires use of safety equipment like gloves, helmets, and goggles
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹11,315.75 - ₹30,000.00 per month
