About the Role
Trafotech Systems Private Limited is seeking experienced subcontractor teams comprising skilled ITI technicians to execute installation, erection, testing support, and commissioning activities for Extra High Voltage (EHV) substations and transmission projects. The subcontractor team must ensure quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of project activities.
Scope of Work
The subcontractor team will undertake electrical and mechanical works associated with EHV substations and transmission systems, including but not limited to:
Electrical Installation Works
- Erection and installation of EHV equipment (CTs, PTs/CVTs, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, Surge Arresters, etc.).
- Installation of control, relay, and protection panels.
- Cable tray fabrication, installation, and support works.
- Power and control cable laying, dressing, tagging, glanding, and termination.
- Earthing and grounding installation.
- Installation of junction boxes, marshalling kiosks, and local control panels.
- Lighting and small power installations within substations.
Mechanical & Fabrication Works
- Fabrication and erection of support structures.
- Installation of cable trays, conduits, and GI structures.
- Assembly and alignment of electrical equipment.
- Minor fabrication and modification work as required at site.
Testing & Commissioning Support
- Assistance during equipment testing and commissioning.
- Megger testing, continuity checks, cable identification, and fault rectification support.
- Support engineers during relay testing, control wiring verification, and functional testing.
- Preparation for energisation activities.
Site Responsibilities
- Execute work as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- Maintain housekeeping and organise the work area.
- Coordinate with the Site Engineer and Project Manager for daily work planning.
- Report material shortages, technical issues, and safety concerns immediately.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and tools.
Safety & Compliance
- Strict adherence to electrical safety procedures and EHS requirements.
- Compliance with PPE requirements at all times.
- Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and site safety protocols.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions without delay.
Qualification & Experience
- Team members should possess an ITI qualification in Electrician, Wireman, Fitter, Electrical Maintenance, or a related trade.
- Experience in EHV, HV, GIS, AIS substations, transmission lines, or industrial electrical projects is preferred.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams is desirable.
- Familiarity with standard electrical installation practices and site safety procedures.

General Conditions
- The subcontractor shall deploy adequate skilled manpower, tools, tackles, and safety equipment required for the execution of the assigned work.
- All personnel must comply with the client's site rules, statutory regulations, and Trafotech Systems' safety and quality requirements.
- Mobilisation, demobilisation, and manpower replacement shall be managed by the subcontractor unless otherwise specified in the work order.
- Payments shall be governed by the agreed subcontract/work order terms and successful completion of milestones.
Pay: ₹14,741.19 - ₹43,756.51 per month
