AbleMinds is a multidisciplinary therapy centre and inclusive school dedicated to supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, Global Developmental Delay, Speech and Language Disorders, and other special needs. Our team includes Special Educators, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Psychologists, and Behaviour Therapists working together to create individualized programs that help every child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Job Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Educator to work with children with diverse learning and developmental needs. The ideal candidate should be experienced in designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), adapting teaching strategies, and collaborating with therapists and parents to achieve measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct educational assessments and identify each child’s learning profile.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group sessions for children with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Intellectual Disabilities, and Learning Difficulties.
- Use evidence-based teaching strategies and multisensory methods.
- Prepare individualized worksheets, visual aids, and teaching materials.
- Track progress and maintain detailed session notes and reports.
- Coordinate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Psychologists.
- Provide parent counseling and home-based strategies.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and school integration planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
- RCI registration preferred.
- B.Ed. Special Education / D.Ed. Special Education preferred.
- Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other developmental disorders.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IEP development and academic remediation.
- Knowledge of phonics, structured literacy, and multisensory teaching.
- Ability to work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
- Patient, empathetic, and child-centered approach.
