Accountant – Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, be proficient in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Excel, and ensure compliance with statutory and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts accurately and on time.
- Record daily accounting transactions in Tally.
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare GST invoices, E-way bills, and tax-related documentation.
- File GST, TDS, and other statutory returns within due dates.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash flow records.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial statements.
- Process employee payroll and statutory deductions.
- Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and government departments.
- Monitor customer collections and vendor payments.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory accounting.
- Verify purchase bills, sales invoices, and expense vouchers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce () or .
- CA Inter/CMA Inter candidates are preferred.
- 3–6 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or aquaculture industries is an added advantage.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in Tally Prime/ERP.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
