About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and patient-centred Physiotherapist to deliver rehabilitation and therapeutic care to our elderly residents. The role involves assessing, treating, and managing physical conditions common in older adults — restoring mobility, reducing pain, and improving overall functional independence. This is a deeply purposeful role for someone who believes every elder deserves to live with dignity and movement.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Treatment
- Conduct thorough physiotherapy assessments of elderly residents to understand physical conditions, limitations, and rehabilitation needs
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans focused on mobility, strength, balance, and pain management
- Administer physiotherapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and heat/cold therapy
- Monitor and review treatment progress regularly, adjusting plans as needed
Rehabilitation & Mobility
- Provide post-surgical, post-stroke, and post-fracture rehabilitation support
- Assist residents in regaining or maintaining functional independence in daily activities
- Manage conditions such as arthritis, Parkinson's disease, osteoporosis, joint replacements, and age-related musculoskeletal disorders
- Conduct fall prevention programmes and balance training sessions
Geriatric & Palliative Care Support
- Deliver pain management therapies tailored to geriatric patients
- Support bedridden residents with passive exercises, positioning, and pressure sore prevention
- Work sensitively with residents in palliative and end-of-life stages to maintain comfort and dignity
- Provide respiratory physiotherapy where required
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and progress reports
- Prepare monthly reports on resident rehabilitation status and outcomes
- Document case histories, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
Health Promotion & Awareness
- Conduct group exercise sessions, mobility workshops, and wellness activities for residents
- Promote active ageing through structured physical activity programmes
- Educate residents on posture, ergonomics, and injury prevention

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) mandatory
- Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, or Neurology — preferred
- Valid registration with the relevant State Physiotherapy Council
- 3-5 years of clinical experience; geriatric or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Freshers with the right attitude, empathy, and clinical aptitude are encouraged to apply
