We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Service Engineer to join our JCB dealership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining JCB construction equipment while ensuring maximum machine uptime and customer satisfaction. The role involves managing field service operations, supporting junior engineers and technicians, handling technical escalations, and ensuring compliance with JCB service standards.
The successful candidate should possess strong technical expertise in construction equipment, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on JCB construction equipment.
- Handle breakdown calls and ensure timely field service support to minimise equipment downtime.
- Diagnose hydraulic, engine, transmission, electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults.
- Supervise and guide Service Engineers, Technicians, and apprentices on complex technical issues.
- Ensure high-quality repairs in accordance with JCB service manuals and OEM guidelines.
- Conduct machine inspections, commissioning, and pre-delivery inspections (PDI).
- Coordinate with customers to understand service requirements and provide effective technical solutions.
- Manage warranty inspections, documentation, and claim processing as per JCB standards.
- Support the Spare Parts department by identifying and recommending the correct replacement parts.
- Maintain accurate service reports, job cards, inspection records, and service documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, dealership SOPs, and statutory regulations.
- Participate in technical training programmes and keep updated on new JCB technologies and product improvements.
- Provide technical support to the service team and assist in resolving critical customer complaints.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and quality service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Certification in Heavy Equipment or Construction Equipment Maintenance will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum 6 years of overall experience in servicing construction equipment, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Commercial Vehicle, Construction Equipment, Heavy Equipment, Earthmoving Equipment, or Industrial Equipment sector.
- Previous experience with JCB, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Tata Hitachi, CASE Construction Equipment, Volvo Construction Equipment, Hyundai Construction Equipment, SANY, XCMG, Doosan, or similar OEM dealerships will be preferred.
