Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Architect with 15+ years of expertise in designing and executing large-scale database migration projects from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database architecture, migration strategy, performance optimization, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise modernization initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Migration & Architecture
- Lead end-to-end database migration projects from on-premises infrastructure to Azure Cloud.
- Design migration strategies ensuring minimal downtime and seamless business continuity.
- Execute hands-on database migrations across multiple enterprise platforms.
- Perform schema conversions, dependency analysis, and compatibility assessments.
- Validate migrated data through reconciliation and quality checks.
- Optimize databases for performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
Database Administration & Performance
- Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments.
- Design High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures.
- Develop backup, recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Resolve complex database performance issues and system bottlenecks.
- Plan database capacity and scaling strategies.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Architecture, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot critical database issues.
- Drive enterprise-scale modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Ensure best practices for database security, reliability, and operational excellence.
