Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Accounts will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, vendor payments, receivables, and supporting management with financial analysis. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, accuracy, and experience in manufacturing accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Handle vendor payments, customer collections, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with auditors for internal, statutory, and tax audits.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial dashboards for management.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Verify purchase invoices, expense claims, and payment vouchers.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Support inventory valuation and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, sales, and HR departments for financial requirements.
- Lead and guide the accounts team to ensure timely completion of financial activities.
