- Quality Inspection & Auditing: Inspect parts (blades, casings) and conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with drawings and standards (ANSI, API, DIN).
- Non-Conformance Management: Raise, track, and resolve non-conformance reports (NCRs) and oversee root cause investigations and corrective actions (CAPA).
- Process Improvement: Utilize Six Sigma tools (Minitab, SPC) to analyze production data, reduce variability, and improve manufacturing quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate inspection records, PPAP documentation, and quality metrics. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or Aerospace).
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and reading complex turbine engineering drawings.
- Special Processes: Experience with machining, special processes, NDT methods (PT, MT, UT, X-ray), castings, and forgings.
- Tools: Familiarity with software such as SAP, AutoCAD, or Minitab.
- Certification: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Common Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in gas turbine manufacturing, repair, or quality assurance.
