- Prepare programs using appropriate G-code and M-code for HMC operations.
- Understand engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, tolerances, and machining specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders, and machining parameters.
- Plan machining sequences and optimize cutting conditions for productivity and quality.
- Set work offsets, tool offsets, work coordinates, and machine parameters.
- Perform tool setting, job setting, fixture setting, and prove-out of programs.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and make necessary program/offset corrections.
- Monitor machining operations and ensure components are produced within specified tolerances.
