Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to oversee the design, development, process engineering, assembly, testing, and programming of industrial jigs and fixtures used in manufacturing and automation environments. The candidate will lead engineering projects, manage cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality tooling solutions that meet customer and production requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development
- Lead the design and development of jigs, fixtures, gauges, and special-purpose tooling.
- Review customer specifications and translate requirements into engineering solutions.
- Prepare and validate 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
Process Engineering
- Develop and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for jigs and fixtures.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Perform process validation, cycle time analysis, and productivity improvement activities.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assembly & Testing
- Supervise fixture assembly activities and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Coordinate mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and automation integration activities.
- Conduct fixture trials, debugging, validation, and customer acceptance tests.
- Resolve technical issues during assembly and commissioning stages.
Programming & Automation
- Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and automation programs related to jigs and fixtures.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, vision systems, and automation components.
- Troubleshoot control systems and optimize machine performance.
- Support commissioning and deployment activities at customer locations.
Project Management
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously from concept to delivery.
- Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, production, quality, and procurement teams.
- Monitor project costs, timelines, and deliverables.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor design, process, and assembly engineers.
- Allocate tasks and monitor team performance.
- Conduct technical training and skill development programs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Master's Degree preferred (optional).
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in jig & fixture design, manufacturing engineering, automation, or special-purpose machine development.
- Minimum 3–5 years of team handling/leadership experience.
- Proven experience in design, process development, assembly, and programming of jigs and fixtures.
- Experience in automotive, electronics, aerospace, industrial automation, or precision manufacturing industries preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo, or Inventor.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.).
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial automation and robotics integration.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Pay: ₹829,850.43 - ₹1,453,601.26 per year
