The Site Engineer is responsible for on-site execution of solar project activities under the MGV scope, including module installation, mounting structures, civil works coordination, and overall site supervision. The role ensures timely, safe, and quality completion of project work.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise installation of:
- Module Mounting Structures (MMS)
- Solar PV modules
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure work as per drawings
- Ensure proper alignment, tilt, and fixing of structures and modules
2. Civil & Mechanical Coordination
- Coordinate with civil team for:
- Foundation work
- Piling and structure erection
- Ensure readiness of structures before module installation
3. Electrical Coordination (Basic)
- Coordinate with electrical team for:
- DC cable laying
- Earthing work
- Ensure modules are ready for electrical connections
4. Quality Control
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and standards
- Conduct site inspections and maintain quality checklists
- Report any deviations and ensure corrective actions
5. Safety Management
- Follow and enforce site safety practices
- Ensure workers use proper PPE
- Conduct basic safety briefings/toolbox talks
6. Planning & Reporting
- Track daily progress and report to Project Manager
- Maintain site records (work progress, manpower, materials)
- Assist in project scheduling and planning
7. Material Handling
- Check and verify materials delivered at site
- Ensure proper storage and handling of modules and structures
- Coordinate with store and procurement teams
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. Electrical Engineering
- 1–5 years of experience in solar or construction projects
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of solar PV systems
- Ability to read drawings (layout, structure drawings)
- Knowledge of site execution processes
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in solar projects
Soft Skills
- Good communication skills
- Team coordination ability
- Problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to work on-site
Preferred Experience
- Experience in solar EPC projects
- Knowledge of MMS installation and module handling
- Exposure to large-scale solar plants
Working Conditions
- Site-based role (remote locations possible)
- Requires physical presence and field work
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
