Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in 2D and 3D design using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The candidate must have experience in bolted panel design and should be capable of creating detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and 3D models for electrical/control panel enclosures and related sheet metal products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Design and develop bolted panel structures, electrical enclosures, and sheet metal assemblies.
- Create detailed GA drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with production, estimation, and project teams for design-related activities.
- Review and optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Support prototype development and resolve design issues during manufacturing and assembly.
- Maintain design documentation and revision records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in Mechanical Design of Electrical Panels, MCC, PCC, PLC, Control Panels, or Sheet Metal Products.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D).
- Mandatory experience in Bolted Panel Design.
- Good understanding of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in electrical panel manufacturing industry will be preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of sheet metal nesting and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in design documentation.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
