About the Role
Wercatalyst Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Executive to join our Surat team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring statutory and labour law compliance, maintaining legal documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external authorities, and supporting overall compliance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Labour Laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Handle PF, ESIC, Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), Bonus, Gratuity, and other statutory compliances.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain statutory records, registers, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with compliance consultants, auditors, government departments, and client representatives.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns, renewals, and other compliance-related submissions.
- Maintain employee records and statutory documents in line with legal requirements.
- Monitor contractor and vendor compliance, including labour licences and statutory documents.
- Assist in internal and external compliance audits and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly compliance reports, MIS, and management dashboards.
- Track amendments to labour laws and ensure timely implementation across the organization.
- Support payroll and HR teams in statutory deductions and compliance matters.
- Ensure adherence to client-specific compliance requirements and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company records at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Management, Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Certification in Labour Laws or Statutory Compliance will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in HR Compliance, Statutory Compliance, Payroll Compliance, or a similar role.
- Experience in staffing, logistics, e-commerce, or facility management industries is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, CLRA, Shops & Establishment Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, and other applicable labour laws.
- Good understanding of statutory documentation and audit processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRMS/Payroll software.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
