The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations, excellent guest service, and efficient coordination. The role focuses on execution, staff supervision, and maintaining service standards across rooms, F&B outlets, and banquets.
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Operations Management
- Supervise daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B Service, Kitchen, and Maintenance.
- Ensure smooth coordination between all departments.
- Monitor daily check-ins, check-outs, and guest requirements.
2. Service Quality & Guest Experience
- Ensure high standards of customer service across all areas.
- Handle guest complaints and ensure prompt resolution.
- Monitor guest feedback and online reviews.
3. Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise and guide department teams.
- Conduct daily briefings and staff training.
- Ensure proper grooming, discipline, and professionalism.
4. F&B and Banquet Operations
- Oversee restaurant service, kitchen coordination, and food quality.
- Manage banquet events, functions, and group bookings.
- Ensure smooth execution of events from setup to closure.
5. Coordination & Communication
- Act as a link between General Manager and department heads.
- Ensure proper communication of policies and instructions.
- Coordinate with sales team for bookings and events.
6. Cost Control & Efficiency
- Monitor operational costs (food cost, staffing, utilities).
- Reduce wastage and improve efficiency.
- Ensure optimal use of resources.
7. Inventory & Supplies
- Coordinate with storekeeper for availability of materials.
- Monitor consumption of F&B and housekeeping items.
- Prevent shortages during peak operations.
8. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and legal standards.
- Follow FSSAI guidelines and fire safety norms.
- Conduct regular inspections of departments.
