- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred
Job Summary
The Ward Incharge is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and coordinating all nursing activities within the assigned ward. The role ensures delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining staffing, patient safety, infection prevention, documentation, inventory control, and compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage nursing staff.
- Conduct shift handovers and staff supervision.
- Ensure medication safety and patient identification.
- Monitor infection prevention and control practices.
- Oversee ward equipment, crash cart readiness, and inventory.
- Maintain nursing documentation and ward records.
- Coordinate with doctors and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Conduct staff orientation, training, and competency assessments.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and hospital quality initiatives.
