Hair Transplant OT Technician Position: Hair Transplant OT Technician Department: Hair Transplant / Operation Theatre Job Type: Full-Time Experience: Fresher or Experienced candidates can apply Location: Mumbai Role Overview We are looking for a responsible, skilled and enthusiastic Hair Transplant OT Technician to assist the doctor and surgical team during hair transplant procedures. The candidate should maintain high standards of sterility, graft handling, patient care, OT discipline and teamwork. Key Responsibilities 1. OT Preparation & Sterility - Prepare the OT before every procedure. - Maintain proper aseptic and sterile technique. - Arrange instruments, consumables, medicines and emergency equipment. - Perform proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments. - Handle autoclaving and sterile instrument storage. - Maintain OT cleanliness before, during and after procedures. - Follow biomedical waste segregation and disposal protocols. 2. Hair Transplant Assistance Assist the doctor/team during: - FUE hair transplant procedures - Graft extraction - Graft counting and sorting - Graft preservation - Slit/recipient-site procedures - Graft implantation - Dressing and post-procedure care 3. Graft Handling - Handle grafts gently and carefully to minimize trauma. - Count and classify grafts accurately. - Separate grafts according to number of hairs when required. - Maintain proper hydration and storage of grafts. - Assist in monitoring graft extraction and implantation counts. - Minimize graft wastage and communicate discrepancies immediately. 4. Patient Preparation - Prepare the patient for surgery according to clinic protocol. - Assist with scalp preparation and trimming when instructed. - Help position the patient comfortably during different stages of surgery. - Monitor patient comfort and immediately inform the doctor of any concerns. - Assist with pre-operative and post-operative photographs when assigned. 5. Instruments & Equipment - Prepare punches, forceps, implanters and other hair-transplant instruments. - Check equipment before surgery. - Handle delicate instruments carefully. - Maintain instrument inventory. - Report damaged, blunt or missing instruments promptly. - Ensure instruments are cleaned and sterilized correctly after surgery. 6. Documentation & Stock - Maintain procedure-related records as assigned. - Record graft counts accurately. - Maintain OT consumable and instrument stock. - Inform the OT in-charge before important supplies run low. - Check expiry dates of medicines and consumables. - Help maintain daily OT checklists. Candidate Requirements - OT Technician qualification/training preferred. - Hair transplant experience is an advantage. - Freshers with good learning ability may also apply. - Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. - Able to work carefully with small and delicate hair grafts. - Strong understanding of hygiene and sterility. - Punctual, disciplined and responsible. - Comfortable with procedures that may take several hours. - Good communication and teamwork. - Willing to learn advanced hair-transplant techniques.
