We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed PRT/TGT – Science to become part of our growing academic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for students at the Primary and/or Middle School level, depending on the position.
- Develop strong conceptual understanding through activity-based, experiential and application-oriented teaching.
- Use appropriate teaching-learning resources, demonstrations, experiments, models and real-life examples to make Science meaningful and engaging.
- Encourage students to ask questions, think critically, analyse situations and develop a scientific temperament.
- Plan and conduct classroom activities, practical demonstrations and experiments wherever appropriate.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, class tests and other academic resources.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support to individual students.
- Maintain students' notebooks and academic records systematically.
- Ensure regular and timely completion of Classwork, Homework and other assigned academic responsibilities.
- Prepare students effectively for school-level assessments and examinations.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with Coordinators and fellow faculty members to ensure academic consistency across sections.
- Participate actively in school assemblies, academic events, exhibitions, workshops and other school initiatives.
- Contribute to Science exhibitions, projects, innovation activities and interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with parents wherever required.
- Continuously upgrade subject knowledge and teaching methodologies.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science or a relevant subject from a recognised institution.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification as applicable to the position.
- Prior teaching experience at the relevant school level will be preferred.
- Strong conceptual knowledge of Science.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to explain scientific concepts in a simple, engaging and practical manner.
- A student-centric approach with the ability to connect with scholars.
- Willingness to use innovative and technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
- Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism and ownership.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic academic team.
