We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of business-critical software solutions across multiple projects and applications. This role combines engineering leadership, vendor management, project delivery, and business partnership to ensure technology initiatives are delivered successfully and aligned with organizational goals. You will work closely with business stakeholders, internal technology teams, and external development partners to drive innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to influence technology strategy while building and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Lead and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Manage the successful delivery of multiple software development and application enhancement projects.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, define requirements, and translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
- Coordinate activities across internal teams and external development vendors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Establish project plans, monitor progress, and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Review technical designs and solution approaches to ensure scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Facilitate project reviews, planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings to support informed decision-making.
- Oversee testing, deployment, and production support activities to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Monitor vendor performance, service levels, and delivery commitments to maximize business value.
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices, delivery standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or technology delivery roles.
- 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams and/or managing external development vendors.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of application development technologies, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, vendor contracts, and delivery performance metrics.
- Experience supporting enterprise business applications and system integrations.
- Experience working with global teams across multiple regions and time zones.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification.
- Lead high-impact technology initiatives that support digital transformation and business growth.
- Work with global teams, business leaders, and technology partners on strategic projects.
- Influence engineering practices, delivery standards, and technology direction.
