About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Automobile Technical Trainer to join our service facility in Thellakom, Kottayam. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering technical training programs to service technicians, advisors, and workshop staff. You will ensure the team stays updated on modern vehicle diagnostics, hybrid/EV technologies, mechanical repairs, and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Delivery: Conduct hands-on and classroom technical training sessions for technicians, body/paint staff, and service advisors.
- Curriculum & Module Design: Prepare structured training materials, visual aids, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and evaluation modules aligned with brand guidelines.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Train staff on advanced electronic diagnostic tools, engine performance, transmission systems, electrical wiring, ABS, ADAS, and emerging Electric Vehicle (EV) tech.
- Quality & Performance Monitoring: Assess technical competency through practical evaluations, identify skill gaps within the workshop team, and deliver targeted refresher courses.
- New Model Induction: Lead training sessions whenever new vehicle models, engine variants, or technical updates are launched by the manufacturer.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote workshop safety standards, proper tool handling, and environmental compliance practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.Tech / BE in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering, or Diploma in Automobile Engineering with strong technical expertise.
- Experience: 3–6 years of overall automobile service experience, with at least 2 years as a Technical Trainer in an OEM or authorized dealer workshop.
- Technical Skills: Mastery in automotive electrical systems, modern engine/transmission overhauls, diagnostic scanners, and technical documentation.
- Soft Skills: Strong presentation, communication, and mentoring skills; fluency in Malayalam and English.
