RFQ Engineer -Electrical Panel
Role Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded RFQ Engineer to join our Engineering team, based in our Chennai plant. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting business growth by preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for electrical panel solutions. Working closely with Sales and Engineering teams, you will analyze customer requirements, develop competitive proposals, and ensure timely submission of RFQs that contribute to successful project wins.
Role Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, quotations, and RFQ submissions for electrical panel projects.
Review customer specifications, single-line diagrams, standards, and technical documentation to determine project requirements.
Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and costing for junction boxes, motor starter panels, and related LV panel solutions.
Select suitable electrical components, switchgear, and enclosure configurations based on project specifications.
Collaborate closely with Sales and Engineering teams to ensure technical and commercial compliance of proposals.
Ensure all quotations and RFQs are completed accurately and submitted within agreed timelines and KPI requirements.
Role Requirements
Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
1–2 years of experience (for Degree holders) or 2–4 years of experience (for Diploma holders) in electrical panel design, costing, or estimation.
Good understanding of Low Voltage (LV) electrical panels, motor starter panels, switchgear, and control panel systems.
Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical drawings, and technical specifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Electrical CAD software, or ERP systems is advantageous.
Good written and spoken English communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
