Senior Engineer – Tendering
Experience: Minimum 6+ years in contracting/construction companies
Qualification: BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering (Additional certifications in Estimation/Tendering / Contracts preferred)
Purpose of Role: To manage the complete tendering lifecycle by preparing accurate cost estimates, ensuring technical and commercial compliance, leading bid submissions, negotiating with clients and vendors, and coordinating with internal teams to secure profitable and competitive projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Management & Strategy: Lead preparation and submission of comprehensive technical and commercial tenders for civil and industrial projects.
Estimation & Costing: Review tender documents, drawings, and BOQs; perform quantity take-offs, detailed cost estimation, and rate analysis.
Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Float inquiries, evaluate quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize techno-commercial comparisons.
Risk Analysis & Strategy: Identify risks, assumptions, and exclusions; conduct bid/no-bid analysis and develop pricing strategies.
Client Management & Negotiations: Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-submission negotiations; manage clarifications and provide technical inputs.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all submissions comply with contract requirements, applicable regulations, and company policies.
Handover to Execution Team: Provide detailed handover of awarded projects, including scope, costing, assumptions, and key risks.
