Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible STP Operator / Technician with 1–3 years of experience in operating and maintaining Sewage Treatment Plants (STP). The candidate should be willing to travel to project sites and ensure smooth plant operations as per company standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Activities
- Clean the screen and Oil & Grease Trap (OGT).
- Check and monitor oil levels, air filters, noise levels, belt condition, and air pressure of blowers.
- Clean all electromechanical equipment thoroughly.
- Perform backwashing of filter vessels as per plant operating conditions.
- Release or flare gas from the biodigester.
- Recirculate sludge as required.
- Record flow meter and energy meter readings in physical logbooks and designated Google Sheets.
- Inspect the working condition of all electromechanical equipment.
- Update daily filter outlet photos in respective WhatsApp groups.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the STP room.
Weekly Activities
- Apply grease to blowers and pumps.
- Clean blower air filters.
General Responsibilities
- Promptly report any site-related issues to the Project Engineer.
- Ensure all instructions and directives from the Project Engineer are executed effectively on-site.
- Follow safety standards and operational protocols at all times.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / ITI / Relevant Technical Qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in STP/ETP operations.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, blowers, filter systems, and electromechanical equipment.
- Ability to maintain records and use basic digital tools (Google Sheets, WhatsApp reporting).
- Willingness to travel to different project locations.
- Responsible, disciplined, and capable of independent site handling.
