SAP IBP Senior Consultant / Solution Architect

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) professional to lead the design, configuration, and delivery of cloud-based supply chain planning solutions. The role combines hands-on functional/technical configuration with client-facing advisory work — translating business planning requirements into scalable IBP architectures across Demand, Supply, S&OP, Inventory, and Control Tower. At the solution architect level, the role carries end-to-end ownership of solution design, integration architecture, and technical governance across multi-workstream programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead requirements workshops and translate S&OP, demand, and supply planning processes into IBP solution designs (planning areas, key figures, time profiles, attributes, master data types).
Configure and deploy IBP modules: Demand Planning & Demand Sensing, S&OP, Response & Supply, Inventory Optimization, and Supply Chain Control Tower.
Design and tune statistical forecasting models, planning operators, heuristics, and the supply optimizer.
Own the integration architecture — data flows between IBP and S/4HANA / ECC via SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services (CI-DS), SDI, or Real-Time Integration (RTI).
Build planning views (Excel add-in), Web UI / Fiori dashboards, alerts, and analytics for end users.
(Architect level) Define the overall solution blueprint, system landscape, data model, and non-functional requirements; provide technical governance and design sign-off across workstreams.
Lead testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT), cutover, hypercare, and knowledge transfer.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to pre-sales, estimation, and proposal work.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years in supply chain planning, with 3+ years of hands-on SAP IBP implementation experience (architect level: 8+ years / multiple full-cycle implementations).
Deep functional knowledge of at least two IBP modules and the underlying planning concepts (time-series vs. order-based planning).
Strong grasp of S&OP / IBP process design and supply chain planning fundamentals (forecasting, inventory, S&OP, supply/response).
Experience with IBP integration tooling (CI-DS / HCI, SDI, RTI) and master data harmonization.
Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to bridge business and technical conversations.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
SAP IBP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP IBP).
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, APO (transition projects), or HANA/SQL.
Knowledge of competing platforms (Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9) for solution comparison.
Industry depth in CPG, manufacturing, pharma, or process industries.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Research, Business, or a related field.
