Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Airlines / GSA / NVOCCs to secure competitive FAK and contract rates for Dry & Reefer shipments.
- Negotiate and manage Named Account (NAC) rates with carriers.
- Liaise with carriers for free time, origin/destination charges, and applicable commercial terms.
- Maintain strong and cordial relationships with airlines, vendors, overseas agents, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain, consolidate, and regularly update rate sheets, tariffs, and free-time databases.
- Handle spot rate requests and ensure timely submission of quotations.
- Act as the focal point for pricing requests received from the Sales Team.
- Share approved and updated rates with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate quotations for additional services including Transportation, Insurance, CHA, Inland Transportation/Rail, ICD charges, and other origin/destination services.
- Coordinate with carriers regarding booking, space, allotment, inventory, and escalation-related issues.
- Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable FMC rate filing, ACD, ENS, and other regulatory requirements.
- For US shipments, handle NAC/Named Account Contract Rate filing with master carriers.
- Support cross-trade shipments and overseas agent pricing.
- Handle rate disputes, escalations, and resolution with carriers/vendors.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a comprehensive database of local charges and tariffs, including THC and other applicable charges.
- Continuously monitor market rates and support the team in maintaining competitive pricing.
Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Export Air Pricing within the freight forwarding/logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of Air Freight Pricing, Carrier Rates, Local Charges, and Export Airfreight processes.
- Good negotiation, analytical, communication, and vendor-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Sales, Operations, Carriers, Vendors, and Overseas Agents.
- Candidates currently working in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry will be preferred.
