Job Title: CNC Programmer (3,4-Axis, Woodworking)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team and take ownership of programming our 3/4-axis CNC machine with a Syntec 60W-E controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs using Fusion 360 for woodworking applications. You will work with STEP models of components to generate accurate, efficient G-code to meet design and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program 3/4-axis CNC machines for wood machining using Fusion 360.
- Generate and validate G-code for the Syntec 60W-E controller.
- Interpret STEP models, technical drawings, and design specifications to create precise CNC programs.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on wood material properties.
- Collaborate with production staff to optimize machining processes.
- Conduct test runs and adjust programs as necessary to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain and organize digital program files and toolpath documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues as they arise.
- Ensure safety, quality, and production targets are consistently met.
Requirements:
- Considerable experience in programming 3, 4 & 5-axis CNC machines
- Proficiency in Fusion 360 for CAM programming.
- Working knowledge of Syntec 60W-E CNC controllers.
- Understanding of G-code, machining principles
- Ability to read and interpret STEP files, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in furniture is a plus or any kind manufacturing.
- Familiarity with nesting and material optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of additional CAD/CAM software
