ey ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Management
- Manage end-to-end execution of solar PV projects, including rooftop, industrial, commercial, and ground-mounted installations.
- Prepare project schedules, execution plans, resource plans, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to milestones.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
Site Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, vendors, and installation teams.
- Ensure proper installation of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and associated electrical systems.
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor project quality.
- Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
- Conduct project review meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Manage customer expectations and resolve project-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate with DISCOMs, consultants, and government authorities when required.
Procurement & Material Management
- Work closely with the Purchase Department for timely procurement of project materials.
- Monitor material requirements and site inventory.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards.
- Implement quality control procedures throughout project execution.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage testing, commissioning, and performance verification activities.
Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor project costs and ensure execution within approved budgets.
- Track project profitability and resource utilization.
- Review contractor bills and project expenditures.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, BOQs, drawings, and completion records.
- Submit periodic MIS reports to management.
- Ensure smooth project handover and customer sign-off.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Solar project management certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in solar project execution and management.
- Experience handling commercial & industrial (C&I) solar projects is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with rooftop solar systems, net metering, and commissioning activities.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Solar PV systems and design principles.
- Understanding of electrical systems, HT/LT installations, and power distribution.
- Familiarity with solar inverters, modules, mounting structures, transformers, and switchgear.
- Knowledge of net metering procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and SLDs.
- Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel, and project management tools.
