We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant HR Manager to support and oversee the Human Resources operations of a growing retail organization. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, and statutory compliance, with the ability to support business objectives while ensuring a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition for retail and corporate positions.
- Assist in manpower planning and workforce allocation across retail outlets.
- Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and organizational guidelines.
- Manage employee onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, and exit formalities.
- Coordinate performance appraisal processes and employee development initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and welfare programs to improve workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee attendance management, leave administration, payroll inputs, and HR documentation.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution professionally.
- Maintain employee records, HRMS data, and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare HR reports, MIS, recruitment metrics, and workforce analytics for management.
- Support the HR Manager in implementing strategic HR initiatives and organizational development programs.
- Coordinate training and development activities to enhance employee skills and productivity.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing requirements and business needs.
Requirements
- Qualification: MBA in Human Resource Management (HR) or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in the Retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee lifecycle management, and labor law compliance.
- Experience in recruitment, payroll coordination, attendance management, and employee engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple HR functions with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HRMS software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
