Job Summary
OPTIPRIME ELECTRIC CONTRACTORS PVT LTD is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimation & Design Engineer with 4–7 years of relevant experience in electrical contracting, estimation, costing and design.
The candidate will be responsible for independently handling electrical estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, tendering, electrical drawings, load calculations and technical coordination.
The ideal candidate should have good practical knowledge of electrical materials, electrical drawings, AutoCAD, MS Excel and electrical estimation, with the ability to prepare accurate and competitive project estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Electrical BOQs and estimates based on drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Carry out accurate quantity take-offs for electrical works.
- Prepare material and labour cost estimates.
- Prepare detailed rate analysis.
- Obtain and compare vendor quotations.
- Prepare competitive quotations and tender submissions.
- Review client/consultant BOQs and identify discrepancies and scope gaps.
- Prepare estimates for additional works and variations.
- Prepare and modify electrical layouts using AutoCAD.
- Prepare lighting and power layouts.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical schematics.
- Carry out electrical load calculations.
- Assist with cable sizing and voltage-drop calculations.
- Select appropriate cables, DBs, panels, breakers, conduits and cable trays.
- Study tender documents, drawings and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors for technical clarifications.
- Prepare material requirement and procurement schedules.
- Coordinate with site engineers regarding drawings, BOQs and material requirements.
- Review revised drawings and update BOQs accordingly.
- Prepare variation statements and additional work estimates.
- Maintain proper records of estimates, BOQs, quotations and drawings.

Preferred Experience
Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, high-rise, data centre or turnkey electrical projects will be an advantage.
Knowledge of ELV systems such as CCTV, Fire Alarm, Access Control, PA System and Structured Cabling will be an added advantage.
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
4–7 years of relevant experience in electrical estimation, design, tendering or electrical contracting.
The candidate should be capable of independently preparing estimates, BOQs, quotations, rate analysis and electrical drawings.
