Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Forklift & Clamp Operator with 5–10 years of experience in industrial material handling, preferably in a cotton box manufacturing or similar manufacturing environment.
The candidate should have good practical knowledge of forklift and clamp operation, basic mechanical knowledge of forklifts and other industrial machinery, and the ability to safely handle, move, load, unload, and stack materials. Good coordination, communication, reporting, follow-up, and basic system knowledge are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift and clamp equipment for material handling and movement.
- Load, unload, lift, shift, and stack cotton boxes, raw materials, finished goods, pallets, and other materials.
- Operate the forklift/clamp according to the weight, size, and nature of the material.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage to products, boxes, pallets, and equipment.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspection of forklift and clamp equipment.
- Check tyres, forks, clamps, hydraulic systems, brakes, steering, battery/fuel, and other basic components.
- Identify abnormal sounds, leakage, vibration, or other mechanical issues and report them immediately.
- Have basic knowledge of forklift mechanical systems and other industrial machinery.
- Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Stores, Dispatch, Quality, and Maintenance teams for material movement.
- Ensure materials are placed in the correct location and maintain proper stacking.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for breakdowns, servicing, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain daily forklift/clamp operation records and material movement records.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to the supervisor.
- Update material movement or equipment-related information in the company system.
- Follow up on pending material handling and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in material handling and storage areas.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, traffic rules, and company policies.
- Ensure safe operation around workers, machinery, racks, and storage areas.
- Support other warehouse and material handling activities as assigned.
Technical Skills
- 5–10 years of relevant experience as a Forklift & Clamp Operator.
- Practical experience operating forklifts and clamp attachments.
- Basic knowledge of forklift operation, controls, capacity, and safe handling.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, brakes, steering, tyres, battery/fuel systems, and other forklift components.
- Basic knowledge of other industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to identify basic equipment problems and report them to the Maintenance team.
- Knowledge of safe lifting, loading, unloading, stacking, and material handling practices.
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspection.
- Basic computer/system knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, Email, and ERP/system entries is preferred.

- Good coordination skills with Production, Warehouse, Stores, Dispatch, and Maintenance teams.
- Good communication skills.

Qualification
Any Degree from a recognized institution.
Candidates with strong practical forklift and clamp operating experience will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 5–10 years of hands-on forklift/clamp operating experience.
- Experience in cotton box manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, textile, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Good understanding of industrial material handling.
- Should have basic mechanical knowledge of forklifts and other machinery.
- Should be capable of maintaining daily records and preparing reports.
- Should have good coordination and communication skills.
- Should be willing to follow safety procedures and company standards.

Compensation
₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience, skills, and interview performance.
