Job Summary:
A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and maintaining construction and infrastructure projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, and other structures. They ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure.
- Prepare project plans, drawings, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Supervise construction sites and monitor project progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Inspect construction work and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Identify and solve engineering problems during project execution.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies.
- Maintain proper documentation related to projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional certification or license (if required by local regulations).
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, or similar tools.
