Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Hardware & Networking Engineer (L1) to provide first-level technical support for end users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues, installing and configuring IT equipment, and escalating complex issues to senior engineers when required.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Support
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Perform basic hardware diagnostics and replace faulty components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, keyboards, and mouse.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
- Prepare and deploy systems for new employees.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and update asset records.
Network Support
- Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity issues.
- Assist in configuring network devices under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Verify network connectivity and escalate complex network issues to the concerned team.
- Perform basic network cable testing and patching.
User Support
- Provide Level 1 technical support through calls, emails, chat, and in-person assistance.
- Resolve issues related to Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, email, and common software applications.
- Install approved software and updates.
- Log, track, and update incidents using the organization's ticketing system.
- Ensure timely resolution of tickets within defined SLA timelines.
IT Operations
- Create and manage user accounts, password resets, and access requests as per standard procedures.
- Perform routine health checks on IT equipment.
- Assist in antivirus updates, Windows updates, and endpoint maintenance.
- Maintain IT documentation and standard operating procedures.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Computer hardware: 1 year (Required)
- Network security: 1 year (Required)
- Software troubleshooting: 1 year (Required)
- IT Operations: 1 year (Preferred)
