Job Summary
The Team Lead – Data Collection Operations will be responsible for managing and supporting Field Supervisors across multiple collection sites.
The role requires overseeing field operations, monitoring team performance, ensuring collection targets are achieved, coordinating site activities, managing operational issues, and acting as the primary link between Field Supervisors and management.
This is a field-intensive leadership role involving regular travel, team management, operational planning, and performance monitoring.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management
- Supervise and manage a team of Field Supervisors and Data Collection Associates.
- Conduct daily briefings and operational reviews with field teams.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance of Field Supervisors.
- Provide coaching, training, and operational support to field teams.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees.
Operations Management
- Plan and coordinate daily collection activities across multiple locations.
- Ensure collection targets are achieved on time and within quality standards.
- Monitor site performance and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Ensure proper deployment and utilization of field staff.
Quality Control
- Review collection quality across sites.
- Conduct random audits and spot checks.
- Identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and standard operating procedures.
Site & Client Coordination
- Coordinate with site owners, managers, and operational contacts.
- Handle escalations and operational concerns at assigned sites.
- Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Oversee the movement and tracking of cameras, SD cards, batteries, mobile devices, and related equipment.
- Ensure all assets are properly accounted for and maintained.
- Monitor equipment availability across active sites.
Reporting & Documentation
- Submit daily and weekly operational reports.
- Track collection volumes, site status, attendance, and team performance.
- Maintain operational trackers and dashboards.
- Escalate operational risks and project concerns to management.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and locations simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, WhatsApp, and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and handle field operations efficiently.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline preferred.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in field operations, supervision, logistics, workforce management, or team leadership.
- Experience managing field teams is highly preferred.
- Experience in data collection, operations, logistics, surveys, staffing, or workforce management is an advantage.
- Must own a two-wheeler and possess a valid driving licence.
- Must be comfortable travelling across Nagpur and nearby areas.
