Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Prepare presses by adjusting settings, loading raw materials, and installing plates, dies, or ink.
- Operation & Monitoring: Run the machine during production runs. Watch for errors, jams, or unusual noises.
- Quality Control: Inspect random samples of finished goods. Compare them against blueprints or work orders to spot defects.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Clean the machine components. Perform routine mechanical checks and minor repairs.
- Safety & Recordkeeping: Follow safety rules, wear safety gear, and log production counts or material usage. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of manufacturing or printing experience.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, good hand-eye coordination, and basic math skills to read rulers and blueprints.
