Job Summary
- As a Junior Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our organization’s Linux-based systems. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong interest in Linux administration and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic IT environment. The Junior Linux System Administrator will work closely with the IT team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our Linux infrastructure.

Skills & Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems.
Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups.
Identify and resolve hardware and software issues on Linux servers.
Respond to system alerts and troubleshoot system-related problems.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems.
Monitor system logs for security incidents and take appropriate action.
Provide technical support to end-users on Linux-related issues.
Assist in user account management and access control.
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
Conduct performance tuning to optimize system efficiency.
Create and update system documentation, including configurations and procedures.
Keep inventory of hardware and software components.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Certification/Trainer Experience in relevant section would be preferred First.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).
Familiarity with basic networking concepts and protocols.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) would be best!
