- Monitor the mother and baby during labor (vital signs, fetal heart rate)
- Assist doctors during normal delivery and emergency procedures
- Prepare delivery room and maintain sterile environment
- Support and comfort the mother (pain management, emotional support)
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Assist in newborn care immediately after birth
- Maintain proper records of labor progress
- Prepare operation theatre and surgical instruments
- Ensure strict sterile (aseptic) conditions
- Assist surgeons during operations
- Handle surgical instruments (scrub nurse role)
- Monitor patient condition during surgery
- Count instruments and sponges before/after surgery
- Ensure proper sterilization and waste disposal
- Provide immediate care to trauma and emergency patients
- Perform triage (prioritizing patients based on severity)
- Administer first aid and emergency medications
- Assist doctors in emergency procedures
- Monitor critically ill patients
- Handle accident, poisoning, cardiac, and trauma cases
- Maintain emergency records and reports
