Position Purpose
We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Production Incharge to oversee the end-to-end manufacturing operations of our mixer grinder factory. You will manage the production floor, optimize assembly lines, enforce stringent quality and safety standards, and ensure our kitchen appliances are built efficiently and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales orders and plant capacity.
- Manage the complete assembly line operations—from motor winding and rotor balancing to final casing and packaging.
- Track production KPIs (e.g., units per hour, equipment downtime) to ensure targets are achieved without compromising quality.
2. Quality Assurance & Testing
- Oversee the strict quality testing of mixer grinders, including wattage validation, jar coupling checks, high-voltage (HV) testing, and noise/vibration analysis.
- Work alongside the Quality Control (QC) team to isolate defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions (CAPA) immediately.
3. Workforce & Floor Management
- Supervise, train, and schedule assembly operators, line workers, and quality inspectors.
- Foster a safe work environment, ensuring the team adheres to electrical safety protocols and 5S/Lean manufacturing principles.
4. Inventory & Resource Management
- Coordinate with the procurement team to guarantee a steady flow of raw materials (copper/aluminium windings, ABS plastics, stainless steel jars, blades, and switches).
- Monitor material usage, control scrap, and minimize wastage on the shop floor.
5. Machinery & Maintenance
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for injection molding machines, ultrasonic welding machines, and testing rigs to prevent unplanned downtime.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, specifically managing assembly operations for small home appliances (mixer grinders, juicers, blenders).
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of motor assembly, electrical components, and standard testing equipment.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and data-driven problem-solving capabilities.
- Software: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel).
