Job Title: GPR Operator (Ground Penetrating Radar Technician)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) equipment to detect and map underground utilities, structures, and buried objects.
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain GPR equipment before and after field operations.
- Collect and record accurate field data during surveys including hand sketches.
- Analyze GPR data and radar images
- Mark detected underground utilities and features on-site to assist construction and excavation teams.
- Prepare clear and detailed survey reports including findings, maps, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to support project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of GPR equipment and accessories.
- Maintain proper documentation of field activities, equipment usage, and survey results.
- Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE while working on construction or field sites.
Requirements
- Experience operating Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) equipment.
- Basic understanding of underground utility detection and geophysical survey methods.
- Ability to interpret GPR data and subsurface images.
- Strong attention to detail and fieldwork skills.
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors in various site conditions.
- Knowledge of safety practices in construction or survey environments is preferred.
- Preferred degree: Msc. Geophysics
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
