Need a Robotic Welding Programmer who designs, codes, and optimizes automated welding paths , ensuring high-quality MIG/TIG welding on manufactured parts. They troubleshoot robotic systems, set welding parameters (voltage/speed), and maintain machinery to increase production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming & Optimization: Program industrial welding robots using teach pendants and offline software (e.g., FANUC Roboguide, ABB RobotStudio).
- Welding Parameters: Set and adjust welding parameters such as voltage, amperage, wire feed speed, travel speed, and torch angle for optimal MIG/MAG (GMAW) or spot welding.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve robotic errors, welding defects, arc failures, and program deviations.
- Fixture Design: Support the design, installation, and commissioning of welding fixtures and jigs for consistent part positioning.
- Quality Control: Conduct first-article inspections, including visual inspections and destructive tests, to meet AWS/ISO standards.
- Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on robotic arms and welding equipment. [1]
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in robotic welding operations and programming, ideally in automotive or manufacturing sectors.
- Robot Proficiencies: Strong experience with major brands like KUKA, FANUC, ABB,or Yaskawa.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of welding techniques (MIG/TIG), metallurgy, and technical blueprints.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in offline programming (OLP) software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA/ISO).
