Job Title: General Manager – Execution (Civil Projects)Location: As per Project RequirementIndustry: Construction / Infrastructure (CPWD / Institutional / Industrial Projects)Job Summary:
The General Manager – Execution will be responsible for end-to-end execution of large-scale civil construction projects including CPWD, institutional, industrial, and infrastructure works. The role involves project planning, resource management, quality assurance, client coordination, and ensuring timely completion within budget and contractual compliance.
Key Responsibilities:1. Project Execution & Management
- Lead execution of large-scale building and infrastructure projects (CPWD, industrial, railway, highways, etc.)
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, cost budgets, and quality standards
- Plan and monitor construction schedules, sequences, and methodologies
2. Pre-Construction & Planning
- Conduct pre-bid surveys and participate in pre-bid and kick-off meetings
- Coordinate soil investigations and geotechnical studies for design inputs
- Develop execution strategies and resource mobilization plans
3. Technical Execution
- Oversee execution of:
- Institutional buildings and industrial structures
- Special foundations, cast-in-situ piling, bridges, culverts, elevated structures
- Water-retaining structures, power plants, and heavy civil works
- Ensure implementation of specialized concretes (SCC, heat-resistant, micro-expansion, etc.)
4. Quality Assurance & Control
- Implement FQP (Field Quality Plan) and ensure quality compliance
- Monitor mix designs, lab testing, and material approvals
- Maintain quality documentation and records
5. Contract & Commercial Management
- Execute projects as per GCC/SCC contract conditions
- Review and verify RA bills, extra item rate analysis, and cost control
- Handle contractual correspondence including claims, variations, and time extensions
6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and internal teams
- Ensure timely release of drawings and approvals
- Attend progress review meetings and present project status
7. Resource & Vendor Management
- Mobilize manpower, machinery, and materials efficiently
- Finalize and manage subcontractors and vendors
- Monitor productivity and optimize resource utilization
8. Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress through MIS reports and schedules (MS Project)
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
- Maintain project budgets and cost control mechanisms
9. Liaisoning & Compliance
- Liaise with government authorities and local bodies for approvals
- Ensure statutory and safety compliance at site
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in CPWD projects and contract management
- Knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, and project planning tools
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, and institutional projects
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure project environments
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience Required:
- 20+ years of experience in construction project execution
- Minimum 5–8 years in leadership role (Project Head / GM / Sr. Project Manager)
Preferred Background:
- Experience with reputed organizations handling CPWD, NTPC, BHEL,, or large infrastructure projects
- Exposure to industrial structures, and heavy civil works.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per month
