Job Summary:
The Front Office and Billing Executive serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at the Mother and Child Care Hospital. The role involves managing reception duties, patient registration, appointment scheduling, billing, and cash handling. The executive must ensure a smooth, courteous, and efficient front-desk experience while maintaining accurate financial and patient records.
Key Responsibilities:Front Office Duties:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors with a professional and friendly attitude.
- Handle patient registration, OPD/IPD entries, and appointment scheduling.
- Guide patients regarding hospital services, doctor availability, and billing process.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital privacy policies.
- Coordinate with nursing and medical staff for patient flow and bed allotment.
- Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries, and handle emergency situations calmly.
Billing Duties:
- Generate accurate invoices for outpatient (OPD), inpatient (IPD), diagnostic, and pharmacy services.
- Process payments via cash, card, UPI, or insurance.
- Maintain daily cash collection records and submit timely reports to the Accounts Department.
- Coordinate with TPA/Insurance departments for pre-authorizations and claims.
- Prepare discharge bills and ensure clearance before patient discharge.
- Address billing queries and discrepancies in a prompt and professional manner.
