Design Engineer – Conveyor & Material Handling Systems
A leading MSW Processing Technology Manufacturing Company is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join its plant-based engineering team.
Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma – Mechanical Engineering
Experience
5–8 Years of relevant experience in mechanical design/drafting, particularly in Conveyor Systems, Material Handling Equipment and Industrial Equipment Layouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Layout Drawings, General Arrangement (GA) Drawings and mechanical drawings for conveyors and equipment.
- Develop layouts for Material Handling Systems and industrial equipment.
- Prepare and modify 2D/3D mechanical drawings based on project requirements.
- Understand equipment dimensions, clearances, interfaces and installation requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Fabrication, Project and Engineering teams to ensure drawings are practical for manufacturing and installation.
- Incorporate engineering changes and prepare revised drawings as required.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings before release for fabrication.
- Support the engineering team in developing equipment layouts and project drawings.
Preferred Industry Background
Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:
- Material Handling Equipment / Conveyor Manufacturing
- Cement Plants
- Power Plants
- Mining / Mining Consultancy
- EPC / Engineering Companies
- Industrial Equipment Manufacturing
- Process Plants
- Waste Management / MSW Processing Equipment
- Other similar heavy engineering / industrial project environments
Ideal Candidate Profile
The candidate should have strong practical experience in mechanical drafting and equipment layouts, with a good understanding of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, GA drawings, and industrial plant layouts.
Candidates who have worked closely with fabrication, production and project execution teams will be preferred.
