Atchyas Hotels is looking for an experienced, reliable, and trustworthy Restaurant Cashier to join our team in Madurai. As the primary point of contact for our customers during payment, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth financial transactions.
The ideal candidate must be highly honest, detail-oriented, and proficient with computers and modern Point of Sale (POS) billing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Billing & Transactions: Handle cash and UPI (GPay, PhonePe, etc.) transactions accurately using our computer-based billing system.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, handle inquiries politely, and resolve any billing discrepancies efficiently.
- Cash Management: Count the cash drawer at the beginning and end of every shift to ensure accuracy and zero shortages.
- Order Coordination: Assist in taking takeaway/delivery orders over the phone or via online food delivery platforms if required.
- Record Keeping: Maintain neat and accurate daily transaction logs and hand over reports to management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a cashier in a busy restaurant, hotel, or retail environment.
- Computer Literacy: Strong computer knowledge is mandatory. Experience operating restaurant POS billing software is highly preferred.
- Traits: Absolute honesty, trustworthiness, and strong mathematical skills.
- Communication: Fluency in Tamil is required; basic understanding of English is a plus.
- Availability: Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays (as per restaurant peak hours).
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
