HEAD – HRD & PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT
Position Summary
The Head – HRD & Personnel Department will be responsible for leading the Bank's human resource strategy, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and personnel administration. The role requires a seasoned HR professional capable of aligning HR initiatives with organizational objectives while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the banking sector.
Key Responsibilities - Human Resource Planning & Strategy
- Formulate and implement HR strategies aligned with the Bank's business objectives.
- Lead manpower planning, workforce optimization, and succession planning initiatives.
- Develop and review HR policies, procedures, and systems.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction processes.
- Ensure timely hiring of qualified personnel across branches and departments.
- Build talent pipelines for critical and leadership positions.
Performance Management
- Design and administer performance appraisal systems.
- Monitor employee productivity and performance improvement initiatives.
- Drive performance-based culture across the organization.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and prepare annual training calendars.
- Oversee employee development, leadership development, and career progression programs.
- Promote continuous learning and skill enhancement initiatives.
Employee Relations & Personnel Administration
- Maintain harmonious employee relations and workplace discipline.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Supervise personnel administration, transfers, promotions, confirmations, and separations.
Compliance & Labour Laws
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor adherence to service rules, HR policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external agencies on HR-related matters.
Organizational Development
- Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives.
- Support change management and organizational transformation projects.
- Recommend improvements in HR systems and processes.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Preference will be given to candidates possessing MBA (HR), PGDM (HR), MSW (HR), CAIIB, or equivalent professional qualifications in Human Resource Management, Labour Laws, Industrial Relations, Banking, or Personnel Administration.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior managerial role handling HRD, Personnel Administration, Recruitment, Training & Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Employee Relations, and Policy Formulation in a Bank, Financial Institution, or reputed organization.
