About Project Sashakt
Project Sashakt is a flagship community empowerment and livelihood initiative of Elixir Foundation, supported by Home First Finance Company India Limited under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
The project works with families from low-income and underserved communities, equipping them with employable skills, livelihood opportunities, and pathways toward financial independence.
Project Sashakt currently operates through three integrated verticals:
Diva Salon plus Academy
A practical learning and earning centre where beneficiaries receive professional beauty therapy training and gain hands-on work experience while generating income.
Diva Studio plus Academy
A production and livelihood centre where beneficiaries are trained in tailoring and sewing while undertaking job-work assignments from factories, industries, and businesses to earn sustainable livelihoods.
As part of its growth strategy, Project Sashakt aims to establish multiple Diva Salons, and Diva Studios across communities, creating a scalable model for skill development, livelihood generation, and economic empowerment.
Position Overview
The Manager – Community Skilling Programs and Livelihood will be responsible for the overall leadership, expansion, implementation, quality assurance, and impact delivery of community skilling and livelihood programs.
The role demands an entrepreneurial, mission-driven professional capable of building community-based skilling ecosystems from the ground up. The Manager will oversee centre establishment, beneficiary mobilization, team leadership, industry partnerships, training quality, livelihood linkages, and program growth while ensuring measurable improvements in beneficiary income and socio-economic outcomes.
This position requires frequent field engagement, strategic planning, strong stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of livelihood development and workforce ecosystems.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership & Strategic Expansion
· Lead the end-to-end planning, implementation, monitoring, and growth of Project Sashakt’s Skilling Initiatives.
· Develop expansion strategies for establishing new Diva Salons, and Diva Studios.
· Identify new geographies and communities with high livelihood potential.
· Conduct feasibility assessments and community mapping exercises before expansion.
· Drive innovation and introduce new livelihood and skilling verticals aligned with market demand.
2. Centre Development & Operations
· Identify and evaluate suitable locations for setting up training centres, salons, and production studios.
· Coordinate infrastructure setup, equipment procurement, branding, and operational readiness.
· Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of all centres.
· Establish operational systems, quality standards, and beneficiary support mechanisms.
· Conduct regular field visits to monitor operations and address implementation challenges.
3. Community Mobilisation & Beneficiary Development
· Design and execute community outreach and mobilisation strategies.
· Build trust and engagement within target communities.
· Identify, enrol, and retain eligible beneficiaries.
· Track beneficiary progress from mobilisation through training, placement, and livelihood generation.
· Promote inclusion of women, youth, and economically vulnerable groups.
4. Training & Capacity Building
· Ensure delivery of high-quality vocational and employability training programs.
· Develop training schedules, learning pathways, and assessment mechanisms.
· Integrate soft skills, communication, workplace readiness, digital literacy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship modules.
· Monitor trainer performance and learner outcomes.
· Continuously improve curriculum based on industry needs and market trends.
5. Team Recruitment & Leadership
· Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise project staff, trainers, mobilisers, and centre coordinators.
· Build a high-performance, mission-driven team culture.
· Establish performance indicators and accountability mechanisms.
· Conduct regular team reviews, coaching sessions, and capacity-building workshops.
6. Livelihoods, Placement & Income Enhancement
· Develop pathways for employment, self-employment, and micro-enterprise opportunities.
· Build partnerships with salons, apparel manufacturers, factories, retailers, and local businesses.
· Facilitate job placements and production-based earning opportunities.
· Secure job-work contracts and production assignments for Diva Studios.
· Track beneficiary income growth and livelihood outcomes.
· Ensure target no of beneficiaries are trained and annual income generation targets are achieved.
· Ensure beneficiaries are able to sustainably earn after program completion.
7. Partnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement
· Build and maintain relationships with CSR partners, government departments, training institutions, employers, industry associations, and community leaders.
· Represent Project Sashakt at meetings, events, and stakeholder forums.
· Identify opportunities for collaborations, resource mobilisation, and program expansion.
· Strengthen community ownership and stakeholder participation.
8. Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Measurement
· Develop systems to measure program effectiveness and beneficiary outcomes.
· Track training completion, placements, income generation, retention, and enterprise development.
· Maintain accurate beneficiary databases and documentation.
· Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
· Document success stories, case studies, and impact narratives.
· Financial Audit readiness for the project and compliances tracking.
9. Financial Management & Resource Optimisation
· Prepare and manage project budgets.
· Monitor expenditure and ensure efficient resource utilisation.
· Ensure compliance with CSR commitments and organisational policies.
· Support procurement, inventory management, and centre resource planning.
10. Research, Innovation & Business Development
· Monitor labour market trends and emerging livelihood opportunities.
· Explore new skilling domains and enterprise models.
· Identify innovative approaches to improve employability and income generation.
· Support long-term sustainability and scale-up strategies for Project Sashakt.

Preferred Experience
· Experience managing skilling, livelihood, women empowerment, CSR, workforce development, vocational training, or community development projects.
· Experience working with CSR-funded programs.
· Experience in centre-based skilling models, placement ecosystems, or enterprise development.
· Experience in managing multi-location operations and field teams will be highly preferred.
