Job Purpose
The CNC Operator at Aequs is responsible for operating CNC machining centers to manufacture high‑precision components in line with production plans, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role demands strong machining fundamentals, process discipline, and adherence to Aequs manufacturing excellence standards.
Key Responsibilities CNC Operations
- Operate CNC VMC / HMC / CNC Turning / Lathe machines independently
- Load and run approved CNC programs
- Set tools, work offsets, and fixtures as per process sheets
- Monitor cycle times and assure production targets are met
- Perform minor offset corrections within defined limits
Quality & Inspection
- Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T, and job cards
- Conduct first piece, in‑process, and final inspections
- Use inspection instruments: vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges
- Ensure parts meet ISO / AS9100 / customer quality standards
- Identify and report defects, tool wear, or process deviations
Safety & Machine Care
- Strictly follow EHS, PPE, and safety procedures
- Perform daily cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance checks
- Maintain workstation as per 5S requirements
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately record production output, inspection results, and rejections
- Follow SOPs, control plans, and traceability norms
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong CNC machine operation knowledge
- Basic understanding of G‑code & M‑code
- Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters
- Ability to work in shifts
- Quality‑focused, disciplined, and team‑oriented
Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- CNC machining certification preferred
Experience
- 1–4 years of experience as a CNC Operator
- Prior exposure to precision manufacturing, EMS, aerospace, or automotive components preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
