Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct basketball coaching sessions for students across different age groups.
- Teach fundamental and advanced basketball techniques, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and game strategies.
- Develop students' physical fitness, coordination, agility, endurance, and teamwork.
- Identify talented players and prepare them for school tournaments and competitive events.
- Organize practice schedules, trials, and intra-school competitions.
- Accompany students during inter-school, district, state, and national tournaments.
- Ensure the safety of students during practice sessions and competitions.
- Maintain basketball equipment, courts, and sports inventory.
- Monitor student attendance, progress, and performance records.
- Promote discipline, sportsmanship, and fair play among students.
- Collaborate with school management to organize annual sports events and extracurricular activities.
- Follow school policies related to child safety and student welfare.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.).
- Certification in Basketball Coaching from a recognized sports authority is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and coaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Basketball Coach in a reputed school, academy, or sports institution.
- Experience in coaching school teams for competitive tournaments is preferred.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
