A Purchase cum Store Manager in the hospitality industry directs the end-to-end procurement and inventory control processes. They source food, beverages, and operational supplies, negotiate vendor contracts, and oversee warehouse storage to prevent shortages and reduce wastage while ensuring strict adherence to strict hygiene and cost control standards.
Key Responsibilities: Purchase & Procurement
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate competitive pricing and favorable terms with reliable vendors for food, beverage (F&B), amenities, and equipment.
- Process daily purchase requisitions (PR) and generate purchase orders (PO) in alignment with departmental budgets.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospitality cost-control metrics to drive down expenses without compromising quality.
Store & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily warehousing and physical storage conditions (including dry stores, cold storage, and liquor cages) following industry health and safety regulations.
- Manage stock replenishment and execute regular inventory audits, implementing the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method for perishable items.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records to identify and resolve variances.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Compliance
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, F&B Manager, and Housekeeping to forecast upcoming levels of demand and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Ensure delivered goods meet the quality standards and specifications outlined by the hotel/restaurant.
- Maintain compliance with local government regulations, food safety standards, and internal procurement policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Typically 3 to 5+ years of combined experience in storekeeping, inventory control, and strategic procurement within hotels, resorts, or restaurant chains.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in hospitality management software (e.g., SAP MM, ShawMan, or ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, mathematical, and analytical capabilities, with a keen eye for detail
